With 200 people in attendance Treasure Island Sailing Center welcomed summer back to the San Francisco Bay with J24, Access Dinghy, and kayak rides, toy boat building and decorating, delicious BBQ and great tunes! The weather was gorgeous, the wind just right so everyone enjoyed their cruise on the bay. Special thanks goes to the Cal Berkeley Sailing Team for a tremendous volunteer effort.
If you missed opening day, please check out other opportunities to experience TISC and sailing on the bay by looking into our programs listed above.

TISC has received the Outstanding Year Round Program award which is given annually to a program that has made notable contributions to promote public access sailing.
Congratulations is also due to Exectutive Director Robbie Dean for winning the Outstanding Leadership award given annually to an individual that has made notable contributions to promote public access sailing by leading the development and organization of a program.
Thanks goes out to all who have aided TISC throughout the years. Your contributions have enabled us to progress to this point where we can receive this amazing recognition.
Treasure Island Sailing Center's First co-able program

Treasure Island Sailing Center’s New Co-Able Sailing Program makes sailing accessible to youth with physical, developmental, and other disabilities. The Co-Able program pairs kids with disabilities with their non-disabled peers creating a unique and fun learning opportunity for all. The first program kicked off on September 30th, with seven total participants. Program Director Amy Lyons said of the program's debut, "It was fantastic! Not only were the kids out on the bay learning how to sail, they were also learning so much from each other, creating new friendships, and building new understandings. This program is a valuable new asset to TISC's mission, to create a community on the bay."
