Volunteer Opportunities

TISC has a wide-range of volunteer opportunities from one-day events to longer projects.  Please read below for details on some of our current needs.  Contact us at volunteer@tisailing.org or 415.421.2225 and start volunteering now!

Sailors' Bash Benefit

General Event Support (no skills required)

Pre-event volunteers: Help put up posters, promote the event, sell raffle tickets, or obtain product donations and auction items.  

Day-of Volunteers: General Party Support, work at the registration/ticket desk, or set-up/clean-up the party.

Specific Event Roles(some experience necessary)

Pre-event volunteers:

1. Silent Auction Organizer: Overall Silent Auction Coordination

2. Bar Supplies Organizer: Procure and Organize Bar Supplies

Day-Of volunteers: 

1. Silent Auction Support (set up packages, check out winners)

2. Registration/Will Call Desk (run/support the registration desk)

3. Food Service (busing, set up/clean up)

4. Bar Service (Bartending, bartending support, set up/clean up)

3. Race Committee Support

Facility Development

2005 Projects include: Building a new deck, changing rooms and showers, Painting the sail shed and dock office, Placing shelving in our containers and Installing piping for showers/water cooler.

BIG Team Regatta, October 7

This corporate challenge fundraiser needs volunteers to solicit sponsorships and corporate entries, to obtain product donations, and plan the party.  See www.gelcorp.com/bigteam for more information.

Boat Repair

Help repair and maintain our sailboats (Optis, Access Dinghies and J24s) and our motorboats.

Database Maintenance

We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to edit and update our database for 2-3 hours per month throughtout the year.
