The Treasure Island Sailing Center offers sailing and water sports lessons to youth, adult, and adaptive sailors. Since 1999, TISC has served over 30,000 youth and adults. TISC is a US Sailing certified community sailing center and offers beginner through advanced sailing courses to youth and adults. Groups and community organizations are welcome! Scholarships are provided to all who meet the financial requirements. Visit our scholarship page to see if you or your youth group qualifies for free sailing lessons.
The Treasure Island Sailing Center offers keelboat and dinghy classes (including US Sailing certification), rentals, and private lesson. Please visit our J-24 Rental page for more information on the qualification process for rentals. All classes start out in Clipper Cove a protected body of water nestled between the Bridge and Treasure Island. We teach everything from basic boat handling to advanced high wind sailing techniques.
Support our Programs
As a community sailing organization, Treasure Island Sailing Center provides opportunities for personal growth and environmental stewardship through the sport of sailing. The majority of our participants are underserved youth. These youths lack the financial resources needed to join a sailing program and often developmental support. TISC’s programs give these kids a pause from life’s challenges while encouraging goal setting, communication, decision-making and leadership. Sailing provides a connection to our Bay and the necessary skills to move forward into adulthood, all while having a ton of fun!
